Thirty-One, also known as Hosn Obe, Big Tonka, Nickel Nock, Blitz, Clinker, Klinker, Skat, Cad, Whammy, Skedaddle, Snip Snap Snoop, Schnautz or Schnitzel, is a game with simple rules that guarantees lots of fun for players of all ages. The objective of the game is to be the first to reach 31 points.

The game rules are as follows:

• Two to four players participate, with 32 cards in the deck.
• Each player always has a hand of three cards and one to three lives.
• Three additional cards are placed face-up in the center.
• The first player to reach 31 points wins the round.
• If no player reaches 31 points, the player with the lowest score loses a life.

Points are earned based on cards of the same suit. Number cards have a point value equivalent to their number, face cards are worth 10 points, and aces are worth 11 points. An additional special card combination is achieved with three cards of equal point value, resulting in a total of 31.5 points.

Each round, players can choose from four possible actions:

1. Exchange one of your cards with one from the center.
2. Swap your entire hand with the three cards in the center.
3. Pass if you don't want to make any card changes.
4. Knock to indicate that you believe you won't have the lowest hand score and that it's the last round.

If you are the first to draw at the start of a round, you can choose to put your hand in the middle and draw another hand from the deck or put three new cards from the deck in the middle of the table.

The player with the lowest number of points loses a round. When all lives are lost, a player is considered to be "swimming," meaning they can continue to play but losing one more round results in "drowning" and losing the game. However, even while swimming, there is still a chance of winning. The last remaining player wins the game.
